A total of 66 officers and assistant officers from various departments and divisions of the Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) participated in the Young Executive Program (YEP) – “Peak Performers, Culture Champion” LAKMNS 2025, held from 11 to 13 October 2025 at the Salcra Bajo Training Centre, Lundu. The program was organized by the Human Resource Development Unit, Group HR Division of LAKMNS.
The course aimed to strengthen leadership, communication, teamwork, and self-motivation among LAKMNS young executives, preparing them to become drivers of organizational excellence. Using the Peak Performers, Culture Champions (PPCC) Model, participants learned to embody two key dimensions — Peak Performers, individuals achieving high performance through knowledge, skills, and results; and Culture Champions, individuals who live and promote the organization’s core values and culture.
Throughout the three-day, two-night program, participants engaged in interactive activities and group training sessions focusing on leadership, effective communication, conflict management, creativity, and high-performing team building. The course was facilitated by Mr. Mohamad Ariff Azahari (Coach Ariff) from Positive Impressions, an expert in organizational and leadership development.
The closing ceremony was officiated by LAKMNS Chief Executive Officer, YBhg. Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, who encouraged all officers to continuously enhance their leadership capabilities and embrace the L.E.A.D Model – Learn, Engage, Adapt, Drive – as a guide to cultivating a high-performance work culture.
Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap also emphasized that young officers should serve as agents of transformation and cultural ambassadors, ensuring LAKMNS remains relevant, excellent, and respected as a world-class Islamic trust organization. He further highlighted that LAKMNS has made significant progress toward achieving its global vision, setting a benchmark for other institutions in governance and management excellence.
Also present at the closing ceremony were Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mohamad Feisal bin Said, and LAKMNS senior officers.
