5 March 2026 – A total of 2,179 students from 16 schools in Kuching received assistance through the Ramadan Donation Program organised by Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) from 2 to 5 March 2026.

The annual Ramadan initiative targeted orphans and students from underprivileged families, based on data provided by the Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Kuching and Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Padawan.

The contributions, presented by LAKMNS Chief Executive Officer Abdul Hadi bin Datuk Haji Abdul Kadir, were given in the form of “duit raya” to help ease the financial burden of families in preparing for Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The program is part of LAKMNS’ ongoing welfare initiatives aimed at supporting the community while promoting the spirit of charity during Ramadan.
