IRIS Marks Five Years with Appreciation Ceremony

On 4 December 2025, the Appreciation Ceremony in conjunction with the 5th Anniversary of Islamic Sarawak Internet Radio (IRIS) was held at the Seminar Room, Baitul Makmur II.

The ceremony was organised to commemorate five years of IRIS’s establishment under the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS), while also recognising the contributions of dedicated personnel, strategic partners and supporting parties who have continuously supported IRIS operations since its inception.

The Appreciation Ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr. Haji Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU).

As a key highlight, the programme featured a special commemorative montage video marking five years of IRIS, capturing the journey, achievements and growth of the digital radio platform since 2020.

The event also witnessed the symbolic launch of the newly refreshed LAKMNS official website, as well as the launch of the LAKMNS Five-Year Achievement Book, which documents the organisation’s initiatives, programme successes and institutional development over the period. In addition, the LAKMNS corporate song titled “Amanah Gemilang” was officially launched, symbolising unity of identity and the shared aspirations of the organisation.

The ceremony was attended by Yang Berusaha Encik Drahman bin Jaladin, Executive Committee Member of LAKMNS, heads of departments, representatives of strategic partner agencies, the LAKMNS top management, as well as staff members who have been the backbone of IRIS’s success over the years.
