Haflah al-Quran

In conjunction with Nuzul al-Quran, the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) organised a Haflah al-Quran program at Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak.

The event began with iftar followed by Maghrib congregational prayers, while the Haflah al-Quran session commenced after Isyak prayers. The program featured guest reciters Abdul Khair Jalil, the 2019 International Quran Recitation Champion, and Muhammad Khairi Maidin, the runner-up of the 2025 National Quran Recitation Competition, who presented recitations of verses from the Quran.

The Nuzul al-Quran celebration was supported by Affin Islamic Bank Berhad, which contributed sponsorship to LAKMNS. The symbolic presentation was made by Mohamad Salihin Deris to LAKMNS Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mohamad Feisal bin Said, witnessed by LAKMNS Honorary Secretary Abdul Aziz bin Dato Haji Husain.

LAKMNS also received support from Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), which sponsored the accommodation for the guest reciters.
