CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER MESSAGE
APRIL 2024
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Alhamdulillah, we are coming to the end of Ramadhan having dutiful observing all our obligatory duties. Many of us will soon missed the feeling of delight of this magnificent month. We would like to express our gratitude and compliments to the congregation for their willingness to enliven both the Sarawak State Mosque (Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak) and Kuching City Mosques (Masjid Bandaraya Kuching) throughout Ramadan. Indeed, everyone presence is appreciated, and our prayers are that all of our deeds performed will be accepted by Allah SWT.
With the approach of the festive “Aidilfitri”, we would like to wish “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin”, to all and sundry. May we celebrate this magnificent month of Syawal with a heart full of joy, forgiveness and gratitude.
In the meantime, we would like to appeal for support from the public to complete the construction of two wakaf projects, i.e: the Nurul Saadah Religious Center as well as some gazebos in Raudhatul Sakinah Kuching (formerly known as Tanah Perkuburan Semariang). You may show your support by contributing to the waqf fund for these two initiatives that we initiated last year. Additionally, members of the public can assist us by notifying friends and family about this waqf projects.
Lastly, I would like to call upon the public to take part in all our organized events. InsyaAllah, the details of each event will be updated on our official Facebook and IRIS (Internet Radio Islamic Sarawak).

The roles and responsibilities of the division of Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak and Masjid Bandaraya Kuching are similar since both involve in the administration of the mosque under the management of Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak.

MOSQUE (PLACE OF WORSHIP)
The mosque is a sacred house of worship which is a pillar of Islamic purity that must be maintained for the wellbeing of the ummah, state and nation.
The Five (5) times prayer that is compulsory is always performed as a sign of the greatness of Allah SWT and the purity of Islam.

CARE CENTER OF AL-QURAN AND TAFSIR
A place for preserving the reading of sacred verses through the organization of Quran and Hafazan classes to ensure that the Quran is alive and be heard in the mosque. The interpretation of the Quran and the meaning of the verses in the Quran are also explained so that the public can understand better the contents of the Quran.

CENTER OF KNOWLEDGE AND THINKING GERMINATION
A place where knowledge is spread through organized knowledge events, religious talks, forums, seminars, dialogues and so on which can convey religious and academic knowledge to the community.

CENTER OF EDUCATION
Implementing knowledge-enhancing programs such as Quran and Academic tuition classes for local Muslim children as well as educational events for parents and the surrounding community.

YOUTH CENTER
The establishment of a group of volunteer youth is to provide useful programs that will attract the youth to come to the mosque that will make a huge contribution to the community.

ISLAMIC CEREMONY ORGANIZING CENTER
Organize Islamic festivals such as the Awal Muharram, the Maulidur Rasul, Nisfu Syaaban, Isra 'Mikraj, Nuzul Quran, Hari Raya Aidilfitri & Hari Raya Aidil Adha and so on.

RECREATION CENTER
Make the mosque a healthy place of recreation by providing facilities and an attractive environment for the local community regardless of religion or race.

FUNERAL MANAGEMENT CENTER
The mosque also assists the Muslim community in the management of complete burial through the funeral management package provided from start to finish.
