APRIL 2024
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Alhamdulillah, we are coming to the end of Ramadhan having dutiful observing all our obligatory duties. Many of us will soon missed the feeling of delight of this magnificent month. We would like to express our gratitude and compliments to the congregation for their willingness to enliven both the Sarawak State Mosque (Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak) and Kuching City Mosques (Masjid Bandaraya Kuching) throughout Ramadan. Indeed, everyone presence is appreciated, and our prayers are that all of our deeds performed will be accepted by Allah SWT.
With the approach of the festive “Aidilfitri”, we would like to wish “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin”, to all and sundry. May we celebrate this magnificent month of Syawal with a heart full of joy, forgiveness and gratitude.
In the meantime, we would like to appeal for support from the public to complete the construction of two wakaf projects, i.e: the Nurul Saadah Religious Center as well as some gazebos in Raudhatul Sakinah Kuching (formerly known as Tanah Perkuburan Semariang). You may show your support by contributing to the waqf fund for these two initiatives that we initiated last year. Additionally, members of the public can assist us by notifying friends and family about this waqf projects.
Lastly, I would like to call upon the public to take part in all our organized events. InsyaAllah, the details of each event will be updated on our official Facebook and IRIS (Internet Radio Islamic Sarawak).

One of the LAKMNS roles is to provide education facilities for Muslims in the state of Sarawak. Started in 1997, MASJA-SA Center of Excellence began operating by offering Quran and academic tuition classes. In 2010, LAKMNS went a step further to expand its role through tahfiz education with the establishment of Tahfiz Kindergarten Tun Abdul Rahman Ya'kub (TATTARY).
The Education Division was established in 2013 to regulate and monitor the operations of the Center of Excellence and the Tahfiz Kindergarten Tun Abdul Rahman Ya‘kub.
FUNCTIONS AND ROLES

TAHFIZ KINDERGARDEN TUN ABDUL-RAHMAN YA’KUB
The establishment of Tahfiz Kindergarten Tun Abdul-Rahman Ya'kub was the result of the idea of the Honorable Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Sarawak Chief Minister in 2006. It is a continuation of Pusat Kecemerlangan MASJA-SA program held at the Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak starting from 1997 until now.
Tahfiz Kindergarten Tun Abdul-Rahman Ya'kub is an effort to produce the generation of the Quran from the age of four to six years (pre-school).
Tahfiz Kindergarten Tun Abdul-Rahman is registered under the Ministry of Education and is fully managed by the LAKMNS.

Establishing Tahfiz Kindergarten Tun Abdul-Rahman Ya'akub As A Top Islamic And Quranic Education Institution In Sarawak To Generate The Quran Generation.
MISSION
Establish a comprehensive Islamic Education and Quranic Education Program aiming to balancing global and religion knowledge.

PUSAT KECEMERLANGAN MASJA-SA
Pusat Kecemerlangan Masja-sa was established in 1997 as a result of the inspiration of the Honorable Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, former Sarawak Chief Minister who aims to instill a strong foundation in the students by making the mosque a center of knowledge.
VISION
Become the center of excellence that assures student excellence in the Quran and academics.
MISSION
- Provide students with the best infrastructure especially the quality of teachers and learning materials.
- Provide motivation programs to develop high-performing, knowledgeable, dedicated and hard-working student.
- Play as role as One Stop Center for Quranic and Academic education.
